What we do
Design Packages for Himalayas and Trans-Himalayas that keep in mind the Preferences, Physical and Mental ability of the individual/group.
If you want to trek through one of the highest mountain passes in the world, traverse by jeeps or bikes on the highest motor-able roads, stay with the villagers in the remotest parts of the Himalayas, camp underneath the stars, visit villages and monasteries where time seem to have stood still for hundreds of years, If you want to have an authentic cultural experience rather than being just a spectator, than you have come to the right place.
When you come to us for designing a package, You tell us about the basic things about the package you desire like your likings/preferences, the length and the time that you want to take the trip. We will also give you a basic list of options you have for different regions and seasons. Than we will design a package according to the preferences of all the individuals in the group. To accommodate for the preferences of everyone in the group, we might need to break up the group in some stages of the trip but the final decision will always be dependent on the people in the group.
We make you experiencing the Himalayan life rather than just being a spectator.
Community Based Tourism for our Guests
We like to use the word “Guest” instead of “Client” or “Customer”, because, to us, our guests mean much more than money.
We incorporate a model of 'community-based' tourism, which means using local guides, staying in locally-owned accommodation, interacting with locals. A part of the money from the trips we organise goes in supporting a grass root orphanage in the Indian Himalayas.
Main emphasis of our trips is to experience the local culture, so we induce as much unadulterated local experience as our guest desires. They stay with the locals, work with them in the fields. If possible, we have them visit local ceremonies. Guests can also volunteer their time for local causes. We like to ease our guests into the local culture instead of imposing a time line on them. At the same time we make sure that they understand local culture and do not offend the locals.
Duration and type of Trips to India
Most of the trips that we organize last from 3 to 8 weeks.
We specialise in offering Yoga, Dharma and Adventure trips involving hiking, rafting, jeep safaris and other adrenaline rushing activities in the Himalayas.
The selection of the multi-day trails for hiking and safaris (5 to 15days) depends on the following factors:
- Difficulty level of the Trail;
- How much adrenaline rush do the guests want?
- The amount of hardship that the guests want to endure;
- Fitness level of the guests;
- Duration of the trip;
Altitude of the trails;
- There are many hiking trails from 2'000 meters above sea level to 6'000 meters. Generally speaking, the higher the altitude, the more challenging and remote the terrain, and the longer the duration of the trip. It's imperative to keep acclimatisation in mind and included in the planning of the route.
- Season.
